The contact angle on all surfaces is 46 degrees, so Concus-Finn filaments do not form. Hence the liquid pulls back on the outside after its initial spread, but progresses on the inside, since the ratio of wetted to free surface is above the critical value for a wetting angle of 46 degrees.
