The Evolver model is set up so the contact angle can be specified separately on each of the three solid surfaces. In this animation, all the contact angles are 30 degrees. The dihedral angles at the bottom are 145 degrees, so Concus-Finn filaments can't form, but the bulk flow still progresses. One can view this channel as an approximation to a V-channel with a bottom angle of 90 degrees, in which a contact angle of 30 degrees is low enough for Concus-Finn filaments.
