Liquid stalling in a square chamber.

The contact angle on all surfaces is 50 degrees, so Concus-Finn filaments do not form. And 50 degrees is just barely high enough so that the advance stalls before reaching the midpoint of the chamber. If the tips did reach the midpoints, the liquid would easily fill the chamber.
